There are three 'PAWS' to leadership and employee engagement... Passion, People, and Purpose.  We present these concepts using creative, fun, memorable stories to which everyone can relate.  Which would your organization like to learn about?  We'll develop a presentation that fits a specific need or you can just let us inspire with any one of the three components to our program.
 
  • Passion focuses on the importance of enthusiasm, motivation, tenacity, optimism, and choosing your attitude.  It's about individual motivation for others as well as identifying your own personal motivation.  Do you live in the moment?  Do you maintain a positive attitude?  When things aren't going exactly as planned, how do you inspire others to keep going?
 
  • People involves recognition, appreciation, and the relationship you have with employees and others.  Passion is about the individual, and People is about the team.  Do people feel like they're part of something bigger?  Do you make the members of your organization feel special?  When your team isn't quite functioning as team, how do you get them on track?
 
  • Purpose focuses on connecting people and passion.  It's about helping the members of your team or organization identify with your purpose.  Topics include vision, mission, strategic planning, training, and outlining expectations.  Purpose is about the strategic direction of your organization and how that strategy is communicated and implemented.  Does your team truly know what you expect beyond their job description?  Do employees know how their role impacts the purpose of the organization?

RECOGNITION – IT TAKES MORE THAN TREATS!
For many leaders, motivating means rewards.  Give them money, give them a gift certificate, and give them a prize.  It’s the easy choice because it’s tangible, showy, and best of all, it can be budgeted.  For employees, however, it’s not about the extrinsic rewards.  Motivation is about recognition of intrinsic value.  A dog won’t run through an agility course just because you said so.  Or, will they?  If there’s intrinsic recognition, you bet they will, and with people it’s no different.


PASSION – YOUR MOTIVATION MOTIVATES OTHERS!
One of the keys to engaging others is focusing on your own level of engagement.  As the leader of a team, whether personal, professional, or community based, you cannot motivate others unless you are engaged as well.  ‘Passion – It’s Your Motivation that Motivates’ focuses on recognizing your own passions and keeping yourself motivated.   Dogs will NOT do something if they don’t want to, so why do people?

PURPOSE – WE ALL HAVE ONE!  WHAT'S YOURS?
Different breeds of dogs serve different purposes.  Miniature Pinschers are great hunters.  Huskies are essential to a sled team.  When leading a group, different ‘breeds’ of people are the same.  It’s called diversity and when people are aligned with roles that best fit their personality, they’re unstoppable.  This presentation is about identifying that perfect fit.  It helps individuals identify their own strengths and weaknesses and helps leaders identify the strengths within their team.  Key elements of this presentation focus on:

  • Defining the ‘Purpose’ to which everyone can identify
  • Understanding personality types and the benefits of each
  • An understanding of how to truly empower team members

MORE WAG, LESS BARK!
For some people, leading is about demanding and dictating.  For others, it’s about serving.  ‘More Wag, Less Bark’ is a presentation about the benefits of serving vs. demanding.  It’s a comparison of good boss / bad boss and helps participants understand the benefits of serving those you are leading.
